Look into what area you’d like to learn in regards to training your dog (i.e. agility training, basic training, etc.) and find out if a school provides the appropriate techniques based on your specific training goals. It is important to find out what sort of training equipment a school will be using, especially if it is a type of school where you have to leave your dog in your absence for the entire course. It would be very heartbreaking to later find out that a school has used training equipment that are harmful to the dogs.
